Just a quick update on Whitey and her kittens. They will be 8 weeks old this weekend! They are all doing absolutely fabulous! We have enjoyed having them so much. They have given us hours of entertainment. We took "momma" (aka Whitey) took a clinic this morning to have her spayed and vaccinated. She is such a good momma we renamed her "momma". We are still actively searching for an "inside" home for her - she deserves it, but after she recuperates from her surgery, we will release her at our house if an "inside" home is not found for her. Hopefully she will stick around with the other 2 "yard" cats. Our "yard" cats are loved and are very well taken care of . I would rather release "momma" under our care than take her to a shelter. Our local no-kill shelter has 75 cats at their facility. The likelyhood of her being adopted from there is slim. I would rather keep networking on my own for her.
All 4 kittens have been placed - 1 with us
The kitten we are keeping is going to live inside with "Cole" our 1 year old male cat. "Momma" cannot live inside with us because of
our 2 dogs. She has a very strong dislike of dogs - I can understand that with her background. We have been introducing the kitten to Cole and our 2 dogs
over the last week. Although Cole was not happy about her at first - I am seeing signs that he will accept her fine. We will be crating her in the house for
a while, keeping them separated when we are not supervising. She is not afraid of the dogs at all and they are learning to be "easy" with her. We
are going to call her KC (short for Kitty Cat) :-)
You have all been a wealth of support and information for me. I appreciate it very, very much and I THANK YOU. I still get on and check out all the posts.
I'll keep in touch.

Judy well done,it is the best feeling isn't it. Thanks so for the update,I have been
thinking of the little family,Momma is so lucky she came to your house, the outcome could have been so different.
